Our company name, Nymånen, is symbol for positive energy, creativity and new ideas.

We, who own and operate Nymånen, are Birgitta & Mikael Sandin. Our dogs are our main interest and lifestyle. We consider ourselves very privileged to be able to work with our dogs on a fulltime base, thanks to the guests who book dogsledding tours at us.

Nymånen kennels in Luleå and Auktsjaur are approved by the local environment office. Our company is quality marked with the Etours TQ certificate. We are members of Ecotourism associations and our values and interest in nature characterize our enterprise.

Nymånen is part of the international network Nature Based Tourism in which a number of companies from Island, Norway, Sweden and Scotland cooperate to provide environmental friendly tourism.

Nature guidning, like for example moose watching, beaver safari and berry picking, but also courses in dog obedience, a visit to our Huskyfarm and hikes with our Huskies are few of our summer activities. These outings can be combined with a visit to our art studio, Ateljé Nymånen.

We offer dogsledding tours adjusted to our guests' wishes. We drive short testdriving trips for conference groups as well as long tours for those who like to see more of the wonderful nature of Lappland. Most of our dogs are purebred Siberian Huskies, which are bred and trained by us.

We drive in a variety of surroundings according to our clients desires, but mostly we keep to the vincinity of Luleå and Arvidsjaur because we live there.

Since we have good capacity, we are able to take on groups up to several hundred guests. We also drive tours for individuals and small groups. Both companies and private persons can book tours at us.

For conference and companygroups, we cooperate with other facilities in Arvidsjaur and Luleå. We have a "Huskyfarm" in Auktsjaur where we receive groups.
